What Is Whiplash (And Is It Really That Bad?)

Television, cartoons, and movies have created the misconception that whiplash is not an actual injury but rather an excuse to “get more compensation” in a car accident settlement. Even the other side’s attorneys and insurance companies will attempt to discredit a whiplash victim. However, whiplash is a very real injury. It produces very real symptoms, including:

Rest, ice, and sometimes muscle relaxers will also help reduce the discomfort of whiplash.
